Topic outline

  • Introduction

  • Module 1

In the first module of the Renoverty training course, spread over five lessons, several essential topics are addressed. It starts with the energy analysis of dwellings, examining consumption and installations and analysing behavioural changes from a psychological perspective. The structure of the module is introduced, the differences between two renovation approaches and motivation strategies suitable for multifamily buildings are discussed. We then move from the audit process to the decision of the works and their actual implementation, dispelling some common myths. The distinctions between Deep Renovation and Progressive Renovation are also explored, promoting the importance of energy-efficient versus conservative renovation. The module concludes with concrete examples of success, illustrating these concepts in the real context of homes. At the end of the module, there is a 12-question multiple-choice test to check understanding of the topics covered.

  • Module 2

In the second module of the Renoverty training course, also consisting of five lessons, crucial aspects are explored. It begins with a financial plan that considers reserves, financing and external funding, including specialised loans for owners' associations. The selection of companies and professionals is addressed, with an emphasis on direct contact with project supervisors and troubleshooting in the event of damage, while also introducing the building renovation 'passport' and the building life cycle. Strategies for organising habits during a soft and deep renovation are explored, from choosing the best time to managing daily needs and transporting furniture. It continues with education on proper behaviour after renovation, such as proper ventilation and use of the heating system. Finally, the legal support offered by OSS, Associations, LAGs and Energy Communities is examined. At the end of the module, there is a 15-question multiple- choice test to check understanding of the topics covered.
